I went to the 16th Annual Chocolate Fair in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago and the best of all of the high-end chocolate offerings - in my opinion - was North Beach's own Z. Cioccolato's chocolate walnut fudge. After a sample, I bought 2 boxes of it, and then sent a friend a box (easy ordering online). You won't be disappointed.

Milk chocolate is not really my flavor preference, so I have to give this flavor a lukewarm rating. Lots of walnuts and creamy texture, though, and as always with "Z", it came packaged well and pretty quickly, since I live only about two-and-a-half hours east of San Francisco.

I ordered both the chocolate walnut and the Heath English toffee. Both are amazing. All of the fudge I have ordered here is as smooth as silk, and never gritty or grainy. I don't know how they do it every time. I was disappointed about no Penuche until end of year, but these made a satisfying substitute. I will be ordering again. Keep up the excellent quality.

I love good fudge. I make good fudge. The fudge from Z. Cioccolato is great fudge! The texture is extremely creamy and the flavor is sublime. The milk chocolate flavor was rich and smooth without being too sweet! If I had to complain, I suppose I could say there were so many walnuts that I occasionally thought there might be too many walnuts and that deprived me of getting more fudge in every bite. Simply the best fudge I’ve ever tasted. I’m ordering more!

Had sent to my mother who usually resides with me, but is currently visiting my sister. Sent ad belated mom’s day gift. Received order promptly-called sister and she said mother ate a piece as soon as opened and said she enjoyed it. Milk choc walnut fudge has always been a fave for mom.
