The signature flavor Peanut Butter Pie has seven different layers inside: a base of rich peanut butter fudge, baked Oreo cookies, caramel, real marshmallow, creamy milk chocolate fudge, a crumble of Heath Bar and a drizzle of peanut butter and caramel over the top.

My Story

Hi, I'm Thomas, the owner of Z. Cioccolato.

I have always loved food and started working in the restaurant industry when I was just a teenager. I worked my way through college at UC Davis with a variety of cooking jobs, landing in San Francisco just in time for the Great Recession. Perfect timing for a Political Science major. With few prospects for honest work, I kept knives in my hands for a few years. Eventually, I was working in event planning until the Pandemic left me unemployed and rudderless.

I was hired at Z. Cioccolato in early 2021 where I worked as a chef and the Chief Fudgepacking Officer for several years. Learning much more about chocolate than I thought I ever would, I have now taught thousands of people chocolate making, made a variety of fun and delicious fudge flavors and continue working everyday to bring you the best damn fudge you've ever had.

In 2025 I was given the opportunity to buy the shop. I never expected this was where I would end up and I can't wait to show you where we're going to go.
